Dorian Spencer Davies was born in Carmarthen and spent his early years in the small west wales Village of Angle.

"I think growing up in this Idyllic, unspoilt relatively remote coastal village may have had a larger influence on my work than I had realised. I remember vividly the various boats in the haven and being fascinated with everything to do with the sea."

Dorian attended Dyfed College of Art, studying Natural History Illustration. During the 80s/90s, he embarked upon a career working with several London book publishers, eventually working with Dorling Kindersley as Senior Art Editor for their children's book division. In all, he designed and produced over 40 books for them.

During the late 90s he returned to Wales and began painting again. He now lives in Tenby, and is still greatly inspired by the Pembrokeshire coastline.

At jrjFrames.com we have concentrated on his Tenby Harbour images. All the prints reflecting the serenity and beauty of this corner of South Pembrokeshire.
